Easy Dhaba style Dal Anda Tadka
This is the best and an easy Dal Anda Tadka recipe! Rich, hot, spicy lentils with scrambled eggs in it,served with tandoori rotis, a popular Dhaba delicacy.

  1. Wash the dals and soak together for 3-4 hours. Then pressure cook it with 1/2 tsp red chilli powder,some sliced ginger and salt till well cooked.
  2. In a pan, heat the ghee or butter add the cumin and dry red chillies.
  3. Once they splutter add the chopped onions and fry till transparent, add the ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes away.
  4. Now add the tomatoes and red chilli powder and cook till the tomatoes turn mushy .
  5. Now add the yogurt and fry till the masala starts leaving oil in the sides and turns a nice dark colour.
  6. At this point add the boiled dal, Garam masala powder and kasuri Methi to the fried Masala and adjust the seasonings according to your taste.
  7. Let the lentils or Dal cook for 10- 15 minutes in low flame, stirring in between.
  8. Meanwhile beat the 4 eggs with salt to taste, scramble the eggs in a pan with little oil till cooked.
  9. Mix half of the egg bhurjee with the dal and serve garnished with coriander, sliced ginger and rest of the scrambled eggs with a dollop of butter and a slice of lemon.
