Kheera Pudina Lassi/Cucumber and Mint Lassi

With the mercury rising day by day in the country, the only way to beat the heat is to have some refreshing, healthy summer coolers which quench our thirst and cool the body too. Lassi is the most common, favourite, tasty and healthy summer drink in India. The main ingredient is thick,creamy yogurt which has immense health benefits .

This salted cucumber mint lassi is a body coolant and helps in preventing dehydration and sunstroke.The absence of sugar makes it perfect for weight watchers too.The addition of mint and cucumber makes the lassi light and fresh and a sprinkling of roasted cumin powder gives a lovely flavour to the healthy drink.

I mostly serve it to my kids with their lunch and sometimes when they are back from a hectic day at school .

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 C yoghurt Dahi Thick /
  • 1/2 C Water
  • 1 C Cucumber chopped / Kheera
  • A handful / Coriander Pudina fresh and MintDhaniya and
  • 1 inch Ginger Grated / Adrak
  • / Cumin jeera A sprinkling of Roasted powderbhuna powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 01 green chilli
Servings: serving
Instructions
  1. Blend the cucumber,chilli,ginger,coriander and mint with the water till mushy in a mixer.
  2. Add the yoghurt and salt and give a nice churn in the mixer till frothy.
  3. Serve in tall glasses with a sprinkle of roasted Cumin Powder and a mint leaf on top.
